it's the fat plastic trim at the bottom of the car. Dark colors look "tall" and "bulky" because it blends in. At the same time white looks much more slick and streamedlined, more like an actual wagon rather than SUV

I have noticed that the tallights and reflectors stand out much better on the lighter color OBs while the darker colors mask them. I think it makes quite a difference in how the OB appears from the back. The lighter colors make the car look larger I think. Same with interior, the light interior seems larger than the dark one.

When I was deciding what color I would prefer in purchasing a used 4th gen OB, I was dead set against the Green. I really thought it was UGLY! I wanted the Ruby Red. Baby Blue was out just as the Bronze and White. I was okay with all the other colors.
In the end, I fell in love with the Cypress Green. I have no idea why. It's one of my least favorite colors. But in the OB, it just seems natural. And in all my car buying purchases, green leads the pack with 4. Go figure! |

I think it's a great color for the OB because it's association with the outdoors and nature and that matches with the car's marketing efforts. |

I with the GREEN guys. I was dead set on black interior and silver exterior, until I saw one in person. Then when I saw a green on on the showroom floor, it just fit for the OB.
My other choice was SWP, but I had just sold my SWP LGT and my wife didn't want to get the same color, she thought it would remind me too much of my LGT and make me miss it even more lol. But I agree that lighter colors make the car look "sleeker", but myself I bought the OB to be a big go anywhere family car. |

I just bought the Sky Blue because:
- Seems unique. I don't see that many of them. - I liked the the pearl white but I wasn't a fan of the lighter interior. - I also liked the look of the outback in dark grey. Very sexy looking but my previous grey cars got really hot here in Sacramento during the summer. Seemed to take forever to cool off in the gargage, much more so than my white cars. - The biggest motivator for Sky Blue? It was the one color my wife loved and you gotta keep her happy!
