Default 2013 Blinking Red light with key

Hi Guys,

First time posting a question, so please go easy one me. I noiced a blinking red light with a key onit after i locked my car, its constantly on and i waited 10 mins.....just wondering if itsnthe security system thats causing this? My 2008 ivic had a blinking security liht, but not as bright right nthe console area.....so curious what reason is.

Not to sound like a jerk...but have you looked in your owner's manual? It lists what all the lights and icons are.

Common sense would dictate that this is the notification that the security system is activated.

When common sense fails there is always the owner's manual. It's the thick book that takes up all that space in your glovebox.
