Here in WA about 20% of the cars on the road are Subaru's so there is no stereotype per-say since all kinds of people here have them.

The only noticeable Subaru stereotypes we have is 1) Subaru WRX Too Fast too Furious crowd, 2) Oh wait...that was my exit...I'll just swerve the car ...NOW!

I almost didn't buy a Subaru because I'm not either of those people...and did not want to become one.

And why would any thinking person care about this $%^&? Our household has a pretty fair complement of "electronic devices," and they're pretty much all Apple. We could not be further from most of the historical stereotypes of those who buy Apple Computer products. Now ask me if I give a @*#$ what anybody thinks about the car I own.

i own two outbacks and an impreza. i get called hippie(which i dont mind) by every redneck that i talk to. i dont see that as an insult? but i see im not the only one though.

I am a 47 yr old lead slingin, tractor pullin, cow farmin, kayakin, hikin, bird watchin, baptist, conservative, farmin, chainsaw wheelin, 4x4 diesel truck drivin, red meat eatin, father/husband.





i don't really fit in any place.

i do put up quite a fite on all the diesel truck forums i am on about the stereotyping subaru owners.


it's hard to change the mind of a mono toothed southern redneck though.

i did this a few days after i bought my car my friends thought it was awesome, my lesbian friend in particular thinks its the best thing ever. however my wife made me remove it. so i refer to my outback as the lesbaru, and my wife's impreza as the lesbaru jr.

At one time, I had a photo of my Outback loaded for war. I can't seem to find it right now. I probably had 30 guns and 50,000 rounds of ammo in the back of it one weekend when I went to a shoot.
