Just drop about 1000 km to see friends and the highway gas mileage was about 28mpg at 110/kph.

When I am in town with 85% street miles, I get about 22mpg.

Canadian Imp. gallon is more than U.S. gallon. Should do better, but since you say some of the miles is backroads, that might account for lower mileage.

According to my trip computer, I am getting 23.1 mpg. First 70 miles or so was all highway, from Colorado Springs to Denver, and I was getting 25mpg or so, but after a 100 miles in town, I am showing 23.1.

I will post again when I actually fill up and calculate my mixed mileage.

According to my trip computer, I've been averaging 24.0 since I've gotten the car (about a month ago). On a recent roadtrip that included some high speeds, it averaged 26.5 according to the computer.

With a mix of 75% city and 25% hi-way driving in my 2.5Liter 01 Outback i get 9LTS/100KM (about 26 (US) MPG), on standard fuel.

With my XT set in Sport or Smart mode I tend to get about 25-27 mpg on the highway (very hilly and mountainous areas included)
In Boone (small town) I tend to get about 20 mpg. That is never really driving more than 5 miles in a trip and allowing proper warm up time.
When I am in Charlotte (bigger city) I get about 22-24 mpg.

Overall in 2000 miles I have averaged 22.4 on the computer and 22.1 when I calculate it out. Most of my miles have been in the small town of Boone. My driving has been 60% small town and 40% highway.

19mpg
My 01 H6 3.0 has a 17 gallon tank (though Ive never put in 16 gallons, even when completely empty) use 92octane, and I get 320 miles consistantly to the tank, in daily stop-and-go traffic so that comes out to a measly 19ish mpg. One of the most dissappointing things about my OB...
