Default Guig'z 02 BH Outback (JDM B4 Dash, retrofit, etc)

Hi there, well I am pretty new here, but have been an owner of 2 Subaru since I was 16.

Heres a little bit about my story.

First.. at the age of 16, my dad gave me a 1990 Legacy Wagon LS ( full equipped), it was my grand father car and needed work.

Well I was super happy! I put alot of work on it, to keep it clean looking.

A few pictures of her, as she keeps on looking better!

And finally, as she sits now,

I then started to look for a nicer car, younger and more reliable. In the middle of my 17's, I bought a 2002 perle white Outback manual! It was so rare!

Heres as she sits after her first bath!

After that I did some cosmetic things to her ( Blacked out headlight, red tailights to get rid of the ugly amber, tinted windows, etc etc) and here she finally sits with her winter setup with mudlflaps and a JDM cluster on the way!

So now here I am, I just turn 18 and I bought myself some present.

First is a Tein S-Tech coils to lower it in the summer.

I installed a JDM B4 dash, pretty rare!

And finally, I did a projector retrofit, because I was tired of those shitty HID. I sitill have 3000K HID in my fog lights, but did a Fx-R bi-xenon retrofit. It took me alot of work and patience, but I did it!!!

You're doing a lot of things that I thought about doing.... which is nice, because now I get to see how they look on my car's twin. Keep it up, good sir.

Ludwig gives you props:

Haha! I know its been 1-2 years that I follow your build! When I saw tat white OBW 5mt, I thought of yours and went ahead!

Well, for my 18th birthday, my parent said they will pay for the pain of the mirrors ( White) and the paint of the WRX 05 hoodscoop paint!

Cant wait for this summer for it to be dropped! Haha!

I might do another retrofit on my other set of lights , and sell them of sell the ones I have now.. But some Legacy owner here in Quebec are interested about me doing their retrofit, so you might some some more!!

Pretty happy for now as of the car, except I want to do my H6 supercharged swap ! But my H4 is just not giving up

Thanks alot and you have a super car!!

I'd thought about doing the H6 supercharged swap, it would be a nice project, but honestly in the end I think whenever my current drivetrain won't go any more (hopefully after I get out of college) I'll do a full WRX STI drivetrain swap... complete with the bulletproof 6spd trans (and will make the DCCD work) and the R180 rear diff, plus possibly hubs if I can make them work on the Outback.

If I managed to have it done on my '96 Legacy, you shouldn't have a problem doing it to your 2002 OB.

Guig'z, for knowing you, and seeing your car pre-mods. I cannot wait to see it this summer all lowered with your new toys!

But go buy yourself a bike will ya!!!

Well I just turned 18 years old, and am studying to be a mechanic, so I might do a H6 swap with the brembos and all or just cange for the newer LGT's.. Don't know yer only future will tell!

Matt: Thanks alot! Its really appreciated! Trying to make the best possible of my car, and unique things. Can't wait to put on my Legacy struts with Tein's coils to drop it! Might do a 4 pot-2 pot soon.. We'll have to meet soon! ! For the bike, it will wait haha! Car cost alot to insure and to pay gaz, and the need of a toolbox, but when I can, I will buy one! I might borrow a bike from some friends this summer to go with you! ( Huck_This also has a bike)

I vote for those. They use 2002+ WRX rotors, clear pretty much any 16'' plus rims and looks **** good in either black or red. Knowing that, I would have gotten the complet set instead of having mismatched 4pot/ brembo on my Leg. They are fairly cheap.
There is a set for sale here: Montreal Subaru Club :: Voir le sujet - JUST IN WRX 06 wagon avec photo !

They are fully re-buildable. All the seals are available through Subaru and if you get them at a MSC sponsor, since they are OEM you 15% off!!

I got my front set for $300. They look a bit rough around the edges but who cares. I don't have a show car!

I guess you will have to! And I will finally be able to meet Huck_This. I heard of him at our little get togethers but I don't think I have met him yet.

Sure thing! We should do a "winter" meet in the same area where we did the ones in the summer. A "dinner" meat.. eeh meet! That way, we can see what others drive in the winter (winterbeaters).

We'll keep this idea running! I wonder if there are others from here who ilve in the Qc, On area? They could join our meets. I feel there are too many Imprezas!!
