Figured maybe I should start an actual thread for my car...
Here she is, 2004 Subaru Outback Wagon with the All Weather Package, 2.5 liter, and automatic transmission. Owned it for a few months now and I honestly have no complaints really so far. So very smooth, so very pleasant to drive. My old Grand Prix spoiled me, there are some features this car doesn't have that I miss from my old car. But I do want to make a few changes to this car, make it a little more my style, a little younger perhaps. Ah well, without further a-do, to the pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, saw this for sale, and couldn't resist! ![]() What I've done so far, installed 300K HIDs in the fogs, Phillips CrystalVision headlights, and installed 215/60/16 snow tires. I do have other plans for thsi car, including but not limited to, new wheels: Sport Tuning T5 Machined w/Black Accent As far as tires go, well, I'm torn. Definitely will stick with a 225/60/16 for all seasons, but I fear by the nature of my work I will be forever indecisive on what I want. I'm a tire salesman, so I have access to all of the documentation, statistics and what-have-you that you could possibly imagine on tires. But here is my dilemma, I can look at facts and figures all day long and it does not compensate for what people have actually experienced. So far I've narrowed it down to these options: -Goodyear Assurance Triple-Tred All Season -Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tred Touring -Michelin Hydroedge -Michelin Primacy MXV4 Now, thus far I have almost eliminated the Hydroedge. Fantastic tires, but there are going to soon be discontinued. Which means by the nature of AWD, if I ever blow one and I cannot find another one, I have to buy four new tires again. I do not wish to do that. Now, Michelin is coming out with a replacement in a few months that I am also interested in: -Michelin Defender But these won't be available until April. So I ask, what are your opinions? I do not need snow traction... I have snow tires for that which I will be swapping out with the seasons. My priorities are handling, both in dry and wet, as well as smooth, quiet ride. Thus far, the Triple Tred All Seasons I know are EXCELLENT all season tires, but I've heard complaints that they are noisy and tend to wear unevenly. The Comfort Tred Touring tires I fear may not give me the confidence in wet weather cornering that I'm after. And the Defender... Well, it isn't out yet, so there are no reviews yet, though from what I've read so far I like them. So I am really looking for opinions on what members here have experienced.
