Went and picked up some Forester suspension tonight, installed the wrx center console, and picked up a bunch of required safey stuff tonight as well, 2 fire extinguishers, first aid kit, tow strap. My check list is down to 15 things to be ready to race... Getting there one little step at a time. Oh yeah... got a sweet new sticker too... ha

The tape at the top of the steering wheel is to show you where "on center" is? Why does this help and do many rally cars use this?
Do you use it to align the wheels for loading on your trailer? If so, why is the tape off center at the top of the wheel? Or is that where you tape your Tic Tacs? John Davies Spokane WA USA

its not so much to show "on center" its to show you where the top of the wheel is when its spinning like crazy and your keeping your eyes on the road trying not to fall off a cliff.
and its not off center, the wheel is slightly turned, plus the angle of the camera angle, it looks off center. but promise its not! |

Small updates.
Busted out the steering lock today (required to race) Disabled the power door locks (also required) Removed the airbags (again required) Wired up my push button ignition switch then my co driver and i were both hating the paint scheme after we saw it on the car... just looked terrible. so we have a new idea... sprayed the white tonight.. more to come soon... ![]()

Lol, she won't be white for long once you get her on stage
![]() Digging the new paint, but pink(?) wheels? Any plans to respray them a different color? Gotta admit though, I'd love to do something similar with an OB wagon after watching this thread. Especially the destruction phase |
