You should have saved your energy and time and just dug out the driver door to drive it out from under the snow. It would have done it easy.

It's a really good looking car. You don't see many silver H6 sedans. I see a lot of green/gold. (No its not the same car over and over. Austin is full of Subarus)

I probably could have, but it would have just moved the snow in front of my neighbors car or behind my truck, heh.

That was my only real requirement for buying a OBS, was no Seafoam Green/Gold. Even the Silver/Silver was not my first choice, but it really has grown on me.

I've have an aluminum WRX Hood on the scale vs. a visually identical Steel RS/OBS hood & the aluminum hood was almost 1/2 the weight of the steel hood numbers were around 21-23lbs for the aluminum hood vs 40+lbs for the steel hood - Not sure if its still arond but I sold the aluminum hood & had pics of the scale readings for both hoods on RS25 "exterior" for sale ads.

The silver/black does look nice with your wheels.

I love the Piston 6 badge, where did you find it? I've got a 3.0 LL Bean and would love to make it a little different. Great project all around!

Cool project! Your video showing the HID's operating is inspiring me to crawl out in the cold and finish wiring up mine. The JDM lights are in, but I've not finished the final wiring on the lights. Been busy pulling the engine and replacing the clutch and other junk.

What's the next plan for your sedan?

I ordered the Piston 6 badge from Yahoo Auctions Japan using a proxy biding service. They are pretty pricey after fees and shipping, about $45 or so.

As for the next plan, I just ordered some new Whiteline swaybars, and I am trying to source the JDM rear windshield so I can complete the rear wiper install.

My office has been a mud pit ever since the snow. It is quite fun to drive around in it.. this is what an Outback should look like all year around.

I drilled the new holes in my CT plate. No more Japanese plate for me!

I don't know. Not quite dirty enough.

Heh, at the time the wheel well liners and bumper were still partially disconnected, so I did not want to punch it around the muddy corners

Closeup of the plastidipped portion, you can see the edges are not perfect pretty well in this shot.

Overall shot, I am quite happy with the way it turned out overall, from a distance it looks really good. You can also see the amber city lights in this shot as well.

H6 badging on the doors:

Overall shot of the car, tinted window in and H6 badge on the door.

Shot of just the front door with the badge.

Inside shot to see difference between tint and the non-tinted quarter glass.

Over this past weekend, I went down to a Subaru Legacy meet in Maryland. Lots of great cars, people, and food It was also an opportunity for three USDM D-type converted cars and one actual JDM D-type car to get together for some photographs. I will not post all of the pictures on here, but I will post one of mine next to the only Legacy S401 that is known to exist in North America.
