Bugs

Howdy,

I'm killing a lot of bugs with the front of the car.

Some of these bug guts are welded on, I have two questions

1. What gets of dried, stubborn bug guts without affecting the new paint?

2. What are we using to keep the bugs off the car? Netting, vinyl, hula girl statues...?

Thanks in advance.

Every other day I take wet paper towels to the front bumper etc. The longer you leave them on the harder to take off. Just press saturated towels on the bugs and a slow wipe off should help. I even use a small spray bottle with just water to attack them.

Wax the front of the car more often and it will be easier to get the little carcasses of the paint.... We have 'love bug' season in FL and believe me that they swarm like locusts... To remove them use plenty of water and soak them using paper towels like jdog1 suggested.

OutbackUFO has some sound advice. You don't have to spend a lot of time waxing, either. I use nothing but Meguiars Quick wax... spritz it on, buff it out with a microfiber cloth. I can easily remove bug guts with nothing more than a spritz of detailer solution with a gentle wipe of a microfiber cloth. We have some serious bugs here... grasshoppers that easily get to 2 inches in length... sound like hail hitting the car at highway speeds.
