slgarland,
Just bought a 2012 Outback. Couldn't find Weathertechs listed for 2012 model so tried the liners from my brothers 2010 Outback which fit perfectly.
I purchased the Weathertech Floorliners listed for 2010 and there's no problem.
Caveat: YMMV

FYI - the Husky Liners (98841) I ordered on Amazon fit perfectly in my 2012. There is no subwoofer under the seat (at least in a Limited) and after about a month of use I would recommend them - look good, and don't move at all. Only issue was my wife couldn't find the gas release lever since she never drove it without the liners in.

I've purchased Weather Tech's for other vehicles and they're great. I ordered the Weather Tech digi fits (black) for a 2012 Outback I don't even have yet.

They're supposed to be here today. As for the Outback maybe Saturday; if not next week.

People with the Weathertech liners, do yours have spikes/nubs on the back? My buddy's Tahoe has WT liners and though they're custom fit, they still slide around because they're smooth on the back.

The weathertech digi mats do not have anything on the back.

Just ordered black liners for my 2012 with black carpet, get them friday! Get the liners. Put the mats in my new truck (new two years ago) and snow, salt and water will not stay on them and make a mess of your carpet

The driver's liner has holes so that the mat retainers can be used. That prevents any sliding or significant movement. As for the other locations, the mats fit snug enough so that there is very little, if any, movement.

If you live in a climate with snow or they treat roadways with sand, salt, etc. get the liners (digi fits). They keep all that garbage off your carpeting.

Guess it's just different approaches - the Husky ones have raised sections to go over the retainers (I guess so spills don't go through the holes)
