Default WeatherTech Floor Mats

Greetings board. This is my maiden post!

I just got my new weather tech floor mats and thought I would share my experience. The mats are excellent which has been said before. They fit great and will do a great job for keeping dirt from getting ground into the carpet. For those that live in wet / snowy areas they will easily contain all of your melted snow off your footwear. The main purpose of my post is to tell those of you that have the light cream leather that the tan color mats look - well - awful in my opinion. They clash with the leather interior bigtime - again my opinion. I called customer service and they said no problem. I shipped them back and got black which is the color of my floor carpet anyway. They blend right in.

So often we complain about customer service, I thought Weathertech deserved some praise.

I also can't say enough good things about my new 09 limited as well!

Thumbs up

+1 on the WeatherTech's. Just installed mine (Black mats w/the tan leather interior), and they look great. Can't wait for the first nasty snowstorm to test 'em out!

I originally had the factory "all weather" rubber mats and after this last road trip I noticed the driver's side mat developed a hole, right where my right heel rests. So I took the plunge.

What I really like are the rear seat ones, with the coverage over the drive shaft hump. **** if I can keep the kids' muddy shoes off that piece of carpet

Shoulda bought these mats 2 years ago when the car was new! The factory mats did reasonably well, I had a few spots to shampoo but not too bad considering...

<edit> - One caveat I forgot to mention: If you have the factory sub-woofer under the driver's seat, the WeatherTech rear mats don't account for that. But I did a little lifting-and-tucking-under and it still fits fine, just took an extra few minutes to install.

Hmm, didn't realize there was more than 1, I ordered based on what their website returned for a MY 2007 OB:

http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...=726&Year=2007

My invoice says PN 440831 (front/black) and 440832 (rear/black). The description says "2005+ Outback/Legacy"

I'll take some pic's tomorrow when it's daylight and post them here.

Yeah, it's two models.. The ones you have are the "Floor Liners" then there are the floor mats, which are the same size as the OEM floor mats. With a $60 difference in price, I'm having a hard time deciding if I need the full floor liners or not. Floor liner set are marked as $159, and the mats are only $99

My OEM all weather mats are cracked at the bottom of one of the ridges, and that let a whole lot of dirty muddy water seep into my carpet. So, I need to replace them. The Weathertech floor mats won't fail like the OEM ones did, but do I need the protection of the liners? I'm looking for opinions on which one to get.

Floor liner is the best out of weathertech.

Huskies floorliner is right close to weathertech and cheaper.
I used 2 sets of weathertech and 2 sets of Huskies, they never fail in New England's snowy winter.

Thanks, I never heard of Huskies before. I'll have to take a look.
