the high pitched raspiness only comes on around 4800 and up rpm/when you let on. (man this car kicks - not bad for an H4)its not too bad but its not the sound i want. i dont know. maybe it needs to settle. i did JUST put it on. i remember my magnaflow setup didnt sound so great the first week. maybe it needs to gather some deposits? hah.

its the case sadly.

the SPT is holding back the rumble. it sounded like that when i had a Flowmaster 40 Series on there as well. the magnaflow sounds much deeper.

Well...You went the Magnaflow way when we spoke quite a while back. Now the different setup with the SPT. It's all good!

It's just odd sometimes how some setups sound verses others. And when you added the high flow cat section, it kinda changes everything. My high flow cat section stays in the garage 90% of the time due to it's loudness. And when it's louder, it feels like the engine vibrates more than normal.

i only bought the spt since my stock muffler is bad. this way i have a "stock factory" muffler if ever i need it. but trust me its temporary. the magna is coming back on asap.

yep you def feel the vibration. heck i even feel it in the steering wheel sometimes.

itll be quieter since you have the stock midpipe and cat converter still intact.
not sure if shops have the patience for it. but you can call around first. depending on what flowmaster youre going for, id advise to get the magnaflow. i had the flowmaster 40 series and it didnt sound so well. i can try to find a clip if i still have it .

Wow, it is amazing how certain things can change exhaust tones. No offense Legolas, but I think the latest sound clip sound horrible. Sounded like my dirt bike when the baffles in my Supertrapp muffler started going out on me. Your previous setup definitely sounded better.

I still have to say that heinz's stromung setup sounded GREAT, no comparison to anything else I have ever heard. I know everyone keeps saying the magnaflow sounds great, and I guess it sound OK, but I am so leary about it after hearing OutbackGTs car with a magnaflow, granted it is an H6.

I have a brand of muffler on my truck that I LOVE, called MelloTones. It is a 350 V8, but I have heard them on V6s any they sound great. The only thing you get is low tones, you never get any raspiness, no matter how hard you get on it.

Here is a link to a sound click of the MelloTones on a Chevy V6
