Default how to remove a heat shield?

has any one had experience removing the heat shield, my rattles like crazy, some people say to weld them but where? also how had is it to remove

Yup, a $5 hose clamp from Home Depot lasts about 3 years on my exhaust before rusting off. Easy to replace too.
