Our 2001 Outback that came with a bug delfector installed. Once the mounting broke and I removed the said deflector I have not noticed and more or less bugs being deflected. I believe it to be a useless item.

I am trying to install a hood protector, but instruction #3 seems to be a pain... I cant seem to get the white plastic piece to stay .... not sure if I am doing it right.....

may need help

No. It is an added peice of drag inducing plastic. Expect a drop in MPG.
