Kartboy 5MT Bushing Kit

Hi,

Just picked up a 98 OBW yesterday and the shifter is super floppy even in gear. I've read that the shifter linkage bushings might be what is causing this. Doing my research, I came across these Kartboy Bushings

Will these fit on my car? I remember reading somewhere that they might be compatible even though it doesn't say directly that it is for a 98 Outback Wagon

If you have any experience with these bushings, how do you like them? Do they fix the sloppy shifter problem?

I don't know if this would help you but I have a Subaru WRX short shifter with delrin bushings on it in my 2000 OBW. I believe that that the shifters are interchangable between the Subaru models.

Then would it be safe to assume they use the same bushings?

Yeah they're the same bushings. I've got those bushing's new and unused. I bought them along with the Kartboy short shifter. The shifter was in my 2011 WRX for about 2 months before i traded it for my OB. The bushings are still in the plastic bags. My OB is the CVT model so i don't need them anymore. The shifter and bushes will fit your OB.
