2010+ Outback/Legacy exhaust compatibility

Okay Subaru guru's, is the 2.5i exhaust (namely the axle back portion) compatible between the 2010+ Outback and Legacy models? Further, were there any changes made when they did the 2013 conversion to the new motor? I have a 2013 Outback 2.5i Premium for the purposes of this question.

Because I found this axle back over at Megan Racing and if so that would be sweet for the 2.5i Outback owners who are interested in such a thing.

This seems to be sold as a dual exhaust only when I inquired. Also one would need to make a cut out slot in the bumper. Haven't actually tried it.

I read in this forum, "Peaty" first modifíed the exhaust on his Legacy. Using the same parts, "Kingluke" modified his OB. I am really interested in this mod myself and looked around a while back... Please refer to below:

I'd say they are not truly compatible because it has the potential of deforming or melting the bumper, unless you do something to protect the bumper.

If you really want an exhaust designed for OB, you have to look over to Japan side. This is what they have for their domestic market. It's a hot sought after mod and talked about in their forums.

It will cost you 2x the money, but you can be sure that it will fit.

@ dave - This one should be single only as 2.5i Legacy is single exit. But upon looking at exterior pic's of the two the Legacy does have the cut out and exhaust goes straight back through said cutout....so to make this muffler work you'd have to have the tip chopped off and weld a turn down like on the stock one. Still, it should have a bit of sound to it and a tad bit of back pressure relief, and we like sound right?

@fus'subie - Thanks for the info. The direct bolt on one is neat, if only it was readily available here. Being low though it may affect the overall clearance, but I'd have to see it up close. Still, looks clean.
