Default Update on ECM Recall and P0420

Just picked up the Superu from the dealer after leaving it earlier today for recall work.

Long story short:

2005 Outback w/ 137k miles

WVI 18 Recall

CEL w/P0420

Results:

ECM reprogrammed

No CEL

2 NEW cats at ZERO cost to me. :2:

Only issue was the tech couldn't figure out how to re-install the front skidplate! Go figure.

But I'm not complaining. Took me all of 5 minutes to put it back on.

Good to know. I have the same cat setup.

How are those Yokos holding up? I just got a set for my wife's Grand Cherokee.

Yokos have been great. Faithfully rotate every 6000 miles and they wear very well. I have a set on my wife's Suburban also and love them.

Angry CEL came back today.

Need to pull the code tonight to see if it's another P0420 or something different.

Came on as I was accelerating hard to merge on the highway this morning. Driving rain, cool temps in the low 40's, no skipping or missing.

We shall see.

I will make sure to do that on the jeep. Ive never been great at keeping up with tire rotations.

Im amazed at how quiet they are on the highway. Of course the jeep does have magnaflow exhaust and a V8.
