Moon Roof now Clicks when Closing

After sitting for the summer while driving my Miata my OBW has developed a sunroof that opens fine but lets out a loud click when closing. Just curious if there is something I can lube or any other trick to prevent this. I do use the sunroof all winter, there's no better way to warm up the interior than opening the sunroof with the heat blasting!

Probably due to the cold and having not been used. The grease they use on them is a thick grease and cold temps can make it less grease like resulting in a noisy operation. Plus if its new and hardly used chances are its not totally greased up due to lack of use.

The click could also be the deflector popping down as it closes. All the cars I've had at one time or another had the deflector get noisy due to temps affecting the grease or dirt in the workings etc. Given its new and hardly used my money is on cold temps and not being used.

Well, it's not new and has been well used in past years. Probably needs to be greased and used a bunch. It sounds like the click is more towards the moonroof than the fron deflector BUT my ears seem to hear noises in the exact opposite direction that they come from. I'll take a look at it sometime when it's not raining and see if I can track the noise down better. Thanks for the ideas though!

I went home last night and listened VERY carefully..... the click is coming from between the sunroof and moonroof. Does anyone know if I can lube that area myself and if I can what I should use?
