Hi guys, hoping you could shed some light on my situation.
Ive got a 2002 Outback H6 wagon, and when braking, a constant stream of popping noises can be heard. This also happens when accelerating after braking. It sometimes happens when locking the steering wheel out to the right when turning. When braking heavily an even louder clunk can be heard. you can feel this through the floor and pedal. My guess is something to do with the suspension, but id like to see what you guys have to say as im not expert!

thanks alot

It could be lots of things...Do you have a jack (not the one that came with the car) ramps and or jack stands? If you get is up in the air an start poking around...we can give you some direction. You said you are no expepert but are you handy. with some visuals ans some poking around...the problem can be found. If you are not comfortable with that...it needs to get to a mechanic who know his spanner from his socket.

Right off the bat, it could be....

Ball Joints
Swaybar endlinks or chassis mounts
LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS
Inner or outer tie-rod ends.
Wheel Bearing
CV axle
