Default Location of Speed Sensor?

My 99 Outback Limited has the same speedometer problem that others have mentioned previously. I ordered a new speed sensor and checked several posts on several forums and it sounds like an easy fix. However, last night I went to put in the new sensor and I couldn't find it anywhere on the AT. The posts I checked say it's on the passenger side/front of the transmission. I even had one website that showed a diagram of where it sits and also another speed sensor at the rear of the transmission. I easily spotted the rear sensor but couldn't find the other. Can someone explain where this thing is hiding? I sure hope it's not on top in a spot that's not accessible without dropping the tranny.

Thanks, Brett
