I need to get my oil changed and wondering if i need to reflash my AP to the base map. or should i leave it on the 93 map?

I assume you ask because you're having the dealership change the oil? I don't think you need to worry about it for just an oil change, but that's just my opinion. Certainly, anything can happen when you leave your car in the hands of the stealership monkeys.

Chances are you'll be OK, but I know my dealer always hooks up the car to their computer and run a quick diagnostic. Apparently they can't detect the AP this way but who knows when they'll get new software that can.

The other risk is that they will reflash your ECU with an update, and you will be left with a non-fonctioning AP.

I personally don't take any chances and reflash everytime the car goes in the dealership.

I send my wife over to Express Oil change when time is short and I can't get to her Explorer.

For my OBXT, I do it myself. Its kinda a pain, but at least it gets me out of the house!

By the way - I recently brought my car in to replace the front O2 sensor...again.. and, yes, an oil change. Guess what - they friggin reprogrammed the ECU. So, now I have to get it reset by Cobb. They said reprogramming it "could" cost anywhere from $50 to $395! Oh yea, and after only 100 miles, the **** CEL is on AGAIN! I can't trust those idiots to do anything right.
