Default Cleaning Inside of Intake manifold

My Subaru Outback threw a rod and I'm in the process of replacing the block. I'm going to use the block from a wreck but put the original intake manifold back on because the connectors from the 2000 outback are different than the connectors for the 2003 outback.

I'm concerned that when the rod went some debris may have been sucked back up into the intake manifold. Before putting it on the car, I'd like to clean it thoroughly.

I have been searching for posts on how to clean the intake manifold, but they are mostly related to getting the outside clean. Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning out the inside?

Methinks you are over stressing.
What can go up past the intake valves?
The pressure is the opposite way.

Compressed air, a chain of pipe cleaners. Count them before you start. not much to it. I like your sense of paranoia.
