Default P1518 Starter switch circuit low input

Just had this error come up: P1518 Starter switch circuit low input. Reported as "low battery" in the dealer readout, though the battery is at top health, they say. Any thoughts on what could have caused that code since the battery is in good condition? It happened just after filling up (then the CEL came on with flashing cruise control, I figured loose gas cap at first). Odd, though it has been pretty warm here as of late---still not as warm as it was last year, though.

Hm, not sure about the code P1518, but I did see a TSB for P0851 (neutral switch input circuit low)/0852 (neutral switch input circuit high) for 05-06 Legacy, Outback, Impreza, Forester with 4EAT.

It's Service Bulletin 16-68-06 10/09/06. Basically it lists some special tool to use to adjust the switch. I saw the TSB on scoobymods.

Dunno dude - everything's still under warranty for you though right? Let us know what the dealer tells you.

Yes, still under warranty, so no worries there. It just happened the one time, and the dealer did a battery check---all's good there---so just reset the CEL. Perhaps a glitch in the Matrix?
