Default forgetful Outback owners?

first it was lost sunglasses. now they've lost the car. i know that part of the aim of both commercials is to show that the Outback can generally take you were you want to go, but do they have to make it look like we can't remember anything?

Ever go hiking in the southern CA desert? If you had you would know that this is actually pretty easy to do. I started laughing when I saw this commercial given 6 buddies and I on a day hike nearly did the same exact thing only we weren't trying to find the Landcruiser we were trying to find 6 tents and three trucks turned out we were only about 500 ft away but on the other side of a small depression we didn't notice when we took off on the hike. Desert trips can be very dangerous they have found missing families out there years later in their rented mini vans mumified.

If anything I'd say out of most cases Outback owners would be the most apt to find their cars given they were lost out in the wild. Way to go on Subaru's advertising department for inadvertently insulting their customers. I also though the one where they get their OB muddy then drive through a parade was odd.. they should just show it doing the amazing stuff it can do then flash the Subaru logo at the end. Simple enough, gets the message across and it doesn't ruffle any feathers.

I second that! I've done side by side comparison with a hand-held unit in the car and nav is quite dissappointing.
