Default Rear Seat Entertainment Instructions?

Yes, I got this option. It happened to come with the car (2012 OB Ltd).

Does anyone have this option? I never got a manual nor do I see any on the internet. I was wondering how the thing worked. It seems intuitive but then again, I will probably break something acting on my intuition!

Thanks

QB

.
I considered that option, but it didn't appear to be nearly as enticing
as the Rear Seat Entertainment package in my dad's '57 Ford wagon.

...AFAIK, it didn't come with instructions,

Got a hold of a manual. Figured it all out. Sound quality sucks when I play the dvd through the car's speakers. It sounds like I have a bad ground somewhere. Picking up engine noise.

Do you have nav and sat radio? I can't get the dvd to play through the car speakers. The dealer said its due to the sat radio taking up the aux port on the radio. We travel alot with the kids the youngest being 2, we spend enough time chasing sippy cups and toys down and don't need to keep track of headphones as well.
Thanks
Josh

You can get an FM modulator that will let you use an unused FM station to pipe the sound into the factory sound system, though you are at the mercy of the FM band which may go in and out with stronger stations nearby.

I had a aftermarket system in our last vehicle that depended on FM frequencies. What a pain in the butt when traveling. I spent $1500 thinking I would be able to pipe it in over the factory speakers on its own aux port.

I would be possible but you will have to dig and possibly make your own adapter cable. Making an RCA to 1/8" isn't hard but you might have to make a couple of stops to get all of the parts together.
