Does anyone know of a pdf or other doc that is avail that shows the process of removing or even reinstalling the nav and radio of a 2012 Outback? I had to replace a cracked nav screen and from everything I read the unit should come out and have a bit of give. But i couldnt get it even a few inches as it seems the wires were way too tight and short. So was hoping there was a doc that could show me where I went wrong. thanks.

taiguy has a log of how the radio comes out. It's an excellent resource on how nearly all of the interior comes out. The removal is the same for all of the different radios. Once you get it out you'll have some slack in the wiring to get the radio unplugged but it's only a few inches.
