Since I'm seriously considering buying a 2009 Outback 3.0R Limited (Harman/Kardon stock system, no navigation), I'm curious about this:
https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/pr...roducts_id=995 Would it work in that car? I found a thread here asking exactly that, but the question goes unanswered and the thread wandered off topic. I did see some said it wasn't bad at all for an OEM unit, though. If it's plug-and-play, I'd certainly consider it. It says 2.5i only, but as far as I know there's no difference in the sound system or space under the driver's seat between the 2009 2.5i or 3.0R. Any idea if it would work or not? |

im speaking only from my experience from my impreza which had tha oe subwoofer so im going to ASSUME its similar.
the subwoofer had an inline harness that went to the subwoofer. if I unplugged it, it quit working. so I would say you would need the harness wire that go with it, hope that helps |

You might check out this post on NASIOC:
Stock head unit information -- pin-outs, aux inputs, and more - NASIOC I have an under-seat sub in my 2005 3.0R sedan and it is "fine" for what it is. It helps fill in some of the deeper notes but isn't audiophile grade by any means. It's definitely better than some of the other OEM subs I've heard and also worse than others. |
