Default hazard lights

I have a 2002 outback and I am having problems with the hazard lights. I tried to turn the hazard lights on and they light up but does not flash. The horn works and fuse is good. Any suggestions to this problem?

Hi enzo0827 and

Are you sure you are activating the hazard lamp switch? The switch on top of the steering column is not the hazard switch, it is a switch that turns the parking lights on continuously. The hazard switch for your vehicle I think is at the center console near the the vents.

Hmm, good call. I was going to suggest that or that the flasher relay might be bad, don't know if this is shared by the signal lights (I'd assume it is because if you have your signals on and your hazards, it' still flashes at the same rate).

HAHAHAHA

thats a entirely new spin on the virgin switch.

Turn and hazard, technically have differnt independt flashers, but they are both located in the same module under the dash.

Wouldn't have thought about asking if it was really the parking light button.
