JDM Lancaster vs USDM Outback/Legacy lights?

So someone hit (and then drove off) my Lancaster while it was parked, long story short, I need to replace a headlight and a fender.
Fender should be a almost straight fit from 2000 Outback, I hope, the light is where it gets complicated.
I hear that Outback's light requires wire splicing, Legacy's would be straight fit.
Anyone can confirm it?
Thanks.

Your JDM Lancaster is most likely equipped with HID headlights, and will therefore be aesthetically different and wired differently from the USDM style halogen Outback headlights. It's also worth noting that the Lancaster is RHD, so a headlight from a LHD Outback will have different beam patterns.

The fender for the Lancaster also has indicators and trim around the wheel arch while the USDM Outback does not. I'm not totally sure on fitment issues, though.
