I'm sure this won't be much help but I put an '05 Legacy GT sway bar on my '05 OBS and it fit fine. But, there was maybe a 10% - 15% difference in feel even with the AVO sway bar reinforcement braces and new bushings that I added at the same time. If I were to do it again I would probably go with a 19mm bar instead of a 16mm bar.

It should fit fine, but it's not much of an upgrade if you're talking oem swap. I think it's 15mm instead of 13mm. If it's aftermarket, then the fitment is the same between LGT and OB.

Would going with the LGT bar require the AVO brackets? Or is it too small of a difference that they wouldnt be needed?

You shouldn't need the AVO kit. If anything it is a simpler swap without.
Mind you it's a nice bracket set, I like mine. I don't think it changed the feel at all, but it gives me peace of mind. |

What I meant to say was would adding the slightly larger LGT RSB warrant any concern of the stock OB mounts to bend, like we have seen from thicker RSBs. Or is the difference between the LGT and stock OB bar not significant enough to worry about having the stock mounts bending.

The lgt bar shouldnt require aftermarket mounts, but consider what happens if the stockers break. They dont just bend, they like to snap off. Then you have to break out a welder to fix it.

Right. I guess if I would need the AVO brackets it wouldn't be worth adding a LGT bar. It should like I should just consider going aftermarket at that point.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I think some LGT wagons have an 18mm solid rear bar (maybe EDM??? but maybe USDM). Someone once remarked that the worshipped JDM hollow 20mm had basically the same effect. USDM LGT sedans probably have the 16mm bar, and then us lowly USDMOB owners got the 15mm.
