All terrain tires on 08 Outback

Hey guys, I am new to the Subaru family and have been looking at getting 215/75R15 Goodrich All terrain T/A KO2 tires for my 2008 Subaru Outback. Right it has stock 17" rims with 225/55R17 tires on them. The difference in circumference is 3", going from 84" to 87". I am looking to avoid lift kits if possible, I'm not doing any serious off-roading, but I live close to the beach and will occasionally drive on the beach and I like to mountain bike so I drive on dirt roads to get to the trails but that will likely be the extent of my off-road use. What are your thoughts? Will this work without lifting the car? If I have to lift what would be the best route to take?

Without special rally wheels(plenty of threads on this), there is no way 15" will fit over your brakes.

patrikman likes this.

Have you tried using the Google search bar at the top of the forum?

2003 Outback 2.5 wagon: "Kaylee". 162,000 and counting.
More rust than I care to think about. And leaking head gaskets. And electrical gremlins. Still flyin'.

2002 L.L. Bean Limited 3.0 Outback wagon: "Mal". 112,000 and counting.
Plenty of battle scars and fixing up the previous owner's neglect via Project Retrograde.

Ahh, thank you. I'll do some digging and read the other posts related to this.

I ran impreza 16s with 215 65s on my h6

I honestly did not like the floaty drive the go12 yokis gave.

You can go anywhere with those 17s... i promise you.

Ive take low pro 19s onto the beach.
