Wheels on 2000 2.5

I have a 2000 outback wagon on completely stock suspension running 205/50/17 wheels. Honestly they look very awkward because of the low profile. Is anybody running 225/60/17 or 235/55/17 or anything similar? If so do you have any problems with rubbing? Thanks

205/50 is way too small, slightly smaller than Impreza sizing even. Where these wheels on a VW before?

Edit: I see they are Impreza wheels now.

Proper 16" size is 225/60, 17" would be 225/55. 235s might be fine, I run a 235/45/17 on my Baja and don't have any issues other than speedo being off.

Apparently they came off of a 2013 wrx lol but they are very small. Thank you I was thinking getting 225/55/17 all seasons once I need them in the spring. Also I'm curious about how you like your Baja! I really want one but they don't show up for sale around here very often.

Are those snow tires on there? Using a tire size comparison they are close to stock 235/45 WRX 2013 size, but more narrow.

I love the Baja, it has little issues (mostly Turbo related) but it's got over 170k now. Been thrilled to death with it so far. It fell in my lap and I'm never selling it.

2004+ Bajas are about an 1" taller than your wagon I think, but here are 17" Forester XT wheels with 235/45-17 tires. Stock suspension. It definitely lowered the Baja a bit from before. I was running my 3.0R/XT wheels on it prior to that with stock size 225/55-17s. Lastly, stock 16s with 225/60-16.

Yes they are snow tires actually, I got a great deal for them with almost new tread.

Also I'm happy to hear that, I hope a Baja turbo falls in my lap one day too lol

Added some pics.

That's cool, I figured they would be snows. Shouldnt be an issue, as you don't have TPMS or Eyesight or anything. What I did was look up a tire size calculator online and took a screenshot of the speedo correction. Then I set that as my lock screen until I had memorized the differences. Probably not a huge difference but I have a lead foot in the Baja Turbo so I need all of the help I can get lol.

Nice, I think I'll go with 225/55/17's most likely. Man your Baja looks nice, I love the maroon and silver color especially on those forester xt rims lol. Also I'll defiantly have to memorize that lol

Thanks, I'm warming up to the color combo. I'm not a red car guy. That combo was only available the first two years, only in 2004 for the turbo. I get tons of compliments on it, that helps I guess. I do like the wheels, they'll stay on it for a while until I find another deal I can't refuse. Lol...$250 for the wheels and nearly tires. For an extra $40 he gave a bag with the TPMS sensors.

We're your spacers necessary? Or were they just for the look?
