Default One fast wagon

This is my '96 Legacy wagon. I have had it for over 10 years. Its actually my first car. I know it might not be the coolest car around but it has a sentimental value. Over the year it has undergone many modifications. The last and most dramatic was the replacement of the entire drivetrain and chasis components. The final product is a 1996 Legacy STi version 8.

Well... First of all thank you for the positive comments!

What more would you guys like to know?

It has a JDM version 8 STi with a Turbosmart blow off valve. Thats the extent of the mods on the engine. Roughly 280 hp. A 3 inch catback exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. The bushings all around are polyurethane. Sway bars have been beefed up front and back, so have the links. The transmission is 6 speed. The rear diff is a R180 4.44 ratio. The center diff is now adjustable with a Neetronics module. The front brakes, since I didn't want to change my almost one of a kind Braid rims, I had to go with the red Subaru 4 pot calipers from 2006-2007 WRX. Brembos up front didn't fit my rims. But they do fit in the rear! What else... Oh the 40$ rear sub-frame bolts. I know I'm missing something but if you have questions, I will gladly answer them!

Too bad the engine pictures don't have the strut tower bar. Whiteline makes one that clears theintercooler and looks very good.

This is with a buddy from Toronto who has a JDM Legacy RS, Twin turbo with around 275 hp. Right hand drive of course.

All the mods have been performed by Lachute Performance. Its a Subaru exclusive (almost exclusive!) tuning shop north of Montreal, Quebec. http://lachuteperformance.com/ They specialize in Subaru but they will gladly work on your race Porsche or BMW if asked politely!

A little up date on the Fast Wagon, I will be installing a down-pipe and EcuTek Tune on August 16th 2011! I should be getting a little hp increase of abuot 35-40 ponies and roughly 50 lbs in torque. This should bring the total power to 320 hp! I should be able to get a dyno chart that I will post here of course!

Then August 28th 2011, I will be attending Toronto Subaru Club's Hypermeet at the Canadian National headquarters.

Very cool. Take care of it and leave the hp flexing for the track hate to see that beauty wrecked in some street play.

No worries Everyone! She's my baby! She sleeps in a garage and never goes out in winter.

It's a toy but it doesn't play nice!

Tomorrow is the big day! I will keep you all posted.
