The dealership told me that all oil filters are on top now across all engines and all models whether it be 2.5, 3.6, or turbo (in Forester). Is this true? The last time I checked, a few years ago, the V6 Outback had the filter underneath. I would just go look at one but there are no 3.6 Outbacks to be found.
