Hi All,
Last years when I was travelling in Southcentral Alaska, I had my engine reconstruct after a timing belt failure. Since I did not drive a lot the car, though I decided to change the oil for regular maintenance to prepare for the winter. I find out, that the oil plug was overtighten, and I stripped a few thread taking it out (after a couple of hours battle to make it loose). I was thinking to rethread the oil plug at 22mm and use a market 22mm oil plug. I was just wondering if there is enough metal around the oil plug to allow such operation without compromising the fastening of the new larger plug ?
