Default Cooper CS4 Touring

That's right, Cooper!

Okay, I have only driven from the shop to my home on dry roads, about 30 miles, but i think these are going to be a great buy.

Looks to be grippy in wet and dry conditions, 80,000 mile warranty, good cornering, $101/ tire for the 225/60/16s, and quieter than Tripple Treads. What's not to like.

Definately worth checking into if you're in the market.

We have cooper lifeliner gls' on my wifes van and like them very much. Good wet traction, quiet and nice price with decent mileage rating. This will be the first winter so I will let you know how they do. I am planning on purchasing coopers for my outback this winter or early spring. I have 30k on the stock tires and the outside edges are pretty worn. By the way I had the alignment done do to wear and they had to reset the toe. Jason

I only looked into Coopers just a week ago. I believed I found the perfect all around tire for the price in the CS4s. Hope they perform throughout my Park City winters as they did today on a warm sunny day.

MotorTrend has done a review on them, here is a quote:

"According to Cooper, the CS4, a premium all-season touring tire designed for cars, minivans and crossovers, is its most extensively tested product ever, undergoing ten thousand hours of lab tests and five million miles of vehicle testing before being deemed ready for market. "

Plus they say that Cooper invested $200 million, in R&D to develope it's new rubber.

It's an important product for them no doubt, and I think they may catch on as a great all in one tire.

Then bump this thread once in a while as you get more experience with them (like after winter) and maybe in the long run this will be a good tire to get.

I had a friend who got a new set of 'new tech' Coopers that were being promoted for an outback trip in Australia. I took him one week of traveling before he bought six tyres (two spares) of another brand. I have herd many similar stories from home.

Coopers have a bad rep at home, in Australia. Have been known as Krappers (rather than Coopers)

Just thought I share

hi, I have had these for about 12,000 miles now. no complaints so far. i have the 215/70/15. pretty wide.
i did blow one on a curb, bought 2 at 7000 mi.
wearing nicely, grips dry great. wet roads are wet roads, but hold much better than any other tires i have had. last one were khumo touring, got rid of those quick. almost lost it many times in those.
so all in all i like them. great price. look good. handle great. braking improved alot too.
glad to see someone else with them.

I started this thread in an attempt to help a brotha out, as I too once scoured this site in an attempt to find the 'right tire'.

Posting without experience with the SC4 only muddies the water. Thanks.

P.S. Not that muddy water isn't fun with a Subie....

Bump. I was wondering if anybody had any new updates on the CS4? Also, if you don't mind please state if you bought the T rated or the H/V rated tire.

5K on mine and I'm very happy.

Very little snow here in Utah so far, but they did good in the slush I've been in. Also Utah is known for it's "Greatest snow on earth" which means there is very little ice to worry about on the road and on the slopes.

I am a big fan of cooper tires. I've had their truck tires (4 sets). They are Definitys from pep boys but they are made by cooper.

It looks like those cs4 t's are the best in the winter based on their online specs.
