Evening all. I'm in need of tires soon and after a discussion with my brother, he tells me he has a set of barely used BFGoodrich tires size 245/45 R17 that I can have sitting in his garage. My question is will they fit my car with little to no issues. My ride is an 05 Outback Xt Ltd with the Oem tires/rims, no mods currently. Thanks for the help in advanced.

Stock is 225/55/17 so those will actually be shorter, lowering the car slightly.
They may rub at full lock though as they are wider, not sure how much extra room there is.

Also, even if they are 'barely used' I would measure the circumferences to make sure they all match within 1/4" before using them on the soob. Also if they're older than maybe 4 years might want to pass. Tires sitting or old tires increase risk of blowouts. You could check the miata.net tire size calculator to look at how much differnce there is nominally.

Thanks all for the info, just got off phone with tire dealer and they said they would rub. So, not worth the trouble to save money. Once again, Thanks for the quick responses.
