It was time for new set of 215/75r15 a/t's

I love these tires 3ply sidewalls, mtn/snowflake emblem rated!

so far only sand and snow are yet to be tested...
No road noise at all!!

I tried dry/wet/gravel/dirt trail some mud..

Cool someone finally did it! I have a set on my landcruiser and love em! Have been tempted to round up 16inch wheels for my new OB can get that same tire for the OB.

Very strong durable tire that is very surprising regarding on road performance. Post a picture of your OB with them!

The only two complaints I have come across are they pick up gravel and throw gravel big time and in really heavy snow conditions they don't shed snow out of the tread as well as some other snow tires. But I have 45K on mine and they look near new and have been fantastic tires.

How modified is your Outback? If its stock, that would be interesting to see, I know Scooby's ride is modified quite a bit. I'm pretty sure the smallest 16" diameter BFG A/T is the 215/70-16, which stands about 28" tall. I think its pretty widely accepted that a tire that tall isn't going to fit without some issues on stock (or even mildly lifted) Outbacks..

Default gravel,snow,mud..wet pavement

I finally got a chance last weekend with a good run @ mt. Defiance.
I drifted in gravel with total control in tight corners..thx to the stiff sidewalls and tread pattern these tires performed like gravel spec rally tires!!!

I encounted some wet snow about a foot deep and broke trail for abit on the steepest section up Mt. defiance... before the jeeps arrived...(miffed that a Subaru made it up there first) I was happy with the snow performance

Next I hit some greasy mud ( caked them so bad you couldn't read the sidewalls...)They did ok for an all terrain...no complaints here..

Once back on the tight twisty wet pavement I pushed the limits drifting them ...The tires let loose and regained traction with such confidence..I was blown away...

pics on the way..quit whining it's just a tire...they have pics on the bfg site...

Besides the drifting part my experience with the landcruiser is the same as yours. They are very impressive tires. What PSI are you running?

Scooby thats based on the OEM tires. Check the BFG's my LC 34's run 60psi and are total crap at 55lbs on the highway. My guess is that the smaller BFGs are running higher pressure also. You maybe even more happy with them if they indeed run at higher pressure given mine are total garbage under 55lbs and I've only run them lower when doing slow hard core offroad stuff.

I obviously can't comment on your specific driving experience, but I can say that your comments seem misinformed to me. In Scooby's case, the OEM tires were a 97 load Index, and the replacement tires are a 100/97 load index, very close. Only if the load index was lower would I comfortably say he needed to increase his tire pressure over the factory rating to avoid under-inflation.

That being said, I know most enthusiasts will increase the factory recommendations slightly (I know I do), since the factory recommendations often seem biased toward ride quality, but over inflating a tire has signifigant disadvantages as well.

What Size/ Load Range BFG A/T are you running, and how did you end up with the 60 psi inflation pressure? The Land Cruiser is a sizable, and heavy vehicle for sure, but I'm pretty sure you will find that running 60 psi in your Cruiser's BFG A/T's is putting them in an overinflated condition, which means less than ideal tire contact patches, which ultimately effects both overall handling and braking..

Scooby, where are those pictures?
