No comments? I know, there should be more pics, right? Well, an off road permit costs $90, so it didn't happen. I went on a bit, then turned around and left before a ranger noticed. Turning around was fun... with those deep tire ruts in the sand. Didn't bottom out though.

Seriously though you should go back some day with a permit! I wanted to go out on the sand on the Medano Pass trail at the Great Sand Dune's National Park in Colorado but my wife convinced me otherwise because the minimum towing fee if we got stuck was somewhere around $350

Well, more pics would definitely help, especially if you edit them. The one you posted needs some retouching to brighten the Outback..

That looks fun - is Assateage the island with the wild horses?
