Had some fun on the way home from work, unplowed seasonal roads.
An inch or two of granular snow, but on top of smooth ice in most areas. The snow adhered to the ice pretty well, it was about 13 degrees F. Some good hills, with the ice up was much easier and less nerve-wracking than down. Creeping very slowly, stopping was not an option going down. Gotta love a few tight turns on a steep hill, ditches both sides, almost at the top there's a tree-top across the road you have to bust through. I was wondering how well the blizzaks would do, not sure they are as good as the graspic DS-2s in the deep stuff, but they did quite well today. Dave |

Dave[/QUOTE] The blizzaks work awesome ! My buddy's wrx wagon plowed through 8inches plus no problem...They stop on a dime... The best snow tire in the world are Nokian hakkapalettias...I have them my wifes car...I stopped on solid ice and about put my head through the windsheld..Stop on a dime...you'll get a $1.50 in change..lol..
