Since there is not much info about this I thought I would share. So I have a 2000 non winter package outback, manual trans, and really wanted a limited slip rear diff. Therefore for $180 from a junk yard I got one out of a 2002 winter package that was in a real good shape, changed the fluid and bolted it right in. Works great now.

A little off the contents of the topic, but well within the title
Check my posting on the SVX forum - both of these will fit an auto Outback too, the front diff all 4EAT models for sure, just maybe the 5EATs too - haven't checked that out (yet ).Also the VTD tranny will make a huge effect. With the turbo charged EG33 torque the front wheels have no chance with 4.444 gearing and the 4ACT tranny. Really frustrating. Traction project - The Subaru SVX World Network The Modena front diff is from Flatironstuning in Colorado. Only a few were ever manufactured. Flatirons Tuning I had Detroit Truetracs on both axles of my trailie Range Rover - just loved them. Work the same way as the original Quaife Torsen. Kind regards, Tapani |
