Noise? Yes. I can hear the tranny whine, it rises with engine RPM when at speed. I don't hear it with the windows up, but it's noticeable with them down. |

I can't say the exact number right now, as the cars is 600 miles away, and I won't be home for another week to 10 days, but as I recall, it was at least 4-5 threads. It certainly wasn't one of those "Boy, I hope this doesn't strip out. . . " type of situations.

Thanks for the info.
Looks like it is bolting on the underside of the front "Protector" as well, not the front diff mount so that's a plus as well.

![]() The plate covers the entire pan, with a hole cut out for the drain plug. The plate uses existing bolts. On the rear, it uses all 4 of the bolts on the tranny. The two outer most bolts come out, while the two inner bolts are loosened till about .25'' is out. On the front, two nuts are removed, and the plate is put on, and then the bolts are tightened again. I'll try to get a more detailed picture soon!

But you're right, it's probably just got a little contact somewhere. I'll have to slide under it sometime and take a look. On the bright side, I tested the big skidplate yesterday backing down off a curb in reverse. The front came down hard enough to gong the curb on the skid plate. Oops. Some of the concrete was chipped away. Skid plate's fine. Good stuff. Kind of nice when being smart earlier covers being stupid later. |
