Default LifeTime tent trailer sold by Costco

Guys I just ordered one of these- will have it in a couple of days delivered to the house by Costco. Currently $1000 off for March via Costco

I'll do a little write up and cover the stuff that I wasn't able to find in all my searches to learn about it.

I can tell you its made in the same exact shop and by the same people who make the Jumping Jack Trailer which is highly respected by the ATV folks. Super high quality trailer with lots of well designed aspects - lights encased in steel guards - well built - very high quality canvas tent etc. The Costco version is smaller than the Jumping jack which is 5X8 this trailer is 4X6 with two flip out beds that are standard Futon size to give you an idea. In road mode the trailer is 12ft end to end and 75 inches wide tire to tire. So it fits snug behind the tow car vs the extra wide trailers these days. Empty weight hovers right around 900lbs - with a max weight of 2000lbs.

This one uses a 4prong standard plug for the lights - no trailer brakes. Super simple light weight basic tent trailer. Tent - with beds off the ground is a good way to think of it. The trailer will haul lots of gear and can double as just a basic utility trailer for home store runs etc.

I had to go looking after reading your post. Is this the trailer you picked up? Looks very handy, much more than just a camping trailer. I look forward to your review after you've had it for a while.

Yes sorry link to the costco link Costco - LifetimeŽ Camping Tent Trailer

The one thing to be aware of the very slick spare tire rack with spare is sold by Lifetime not by Costco so I had to pick that up $199 for the spare tire setup on top of the Costco price. Lifetime price is $3999 - costco had it listed at $3400 till March then dropped it to $2999 and from what I can tell they did this on a limited run last year also during March.

The main target for these trailers are the ATV types. Where the ATV is loaded to the deck which sits above the tent. The Costco trailer is a single ATV and the Jumping Jack is formatted to support two ATV's both built by the same shop.

In my case we will be using it to haul toys be it a 12ft 130lb sailboat - canoe - kayaks etc. Then any weekend home project that might crop up I'm sure we'll be using it to haul crap around also. If we determine that the new OB and the trailer make our old Landcruiser obsolete some land cruiser junky will be one lucky dude to get a low milege mint condition LC. But we'll see how this goes.

Ok guys purchased online via costco website on March 3rd delivered to the front door March 8th by freight truck. Single pallet one driver took two of us some thinking and levering to get it off loaded using his large pallet truck and some 2X4's to pivot it around onto the lift - same effort to get it off the lift.

The process of building it will possibly take place this weekend or over the next few evenings pending the work sched.
The fun starts

3hrs in - trailer is on its own wheels and all the major bits are in place. Tent to be installed tomorrow.

Very - Very slick trailer! The build process has you use the bed jacks to hold the trailer off the ground creating a very stable and easy to work on platform. The parts all fit extremely tight and very well.

So far very impressed!

Looking forward to your interior/exterior pic and total build time stats. Saw it on Costco.com and am interested though the price point is a bit high. Thank you for starting the thread.

Nice, can't wait to see the build pics! Sounds like they thought up a good process for the build cycle..

Sailor, Any reports or pics on the tent trailer yet? I am curious about it (although it is too late to get one this year - the costco links don't work any more.)
