thing to do in AL and MS (
Will be taking the whole family (spouse and 2 kids) from Chicago, IL to Mobile,AL in a few weeks. On the way there, we will be stopping/staying by Nashville,TN and Huntsville,AL....on the way back, I am thinking of taking another route (thru' Memphis) and I have 3-4 days to get from Mobile back to CHicago. so, need some suggestion on what to do/where to visit in AL and MS...
Is VIcksburg battlefiend NAt'l monument/park worth a night stay? Is Coastal/gulf MS a lot different than coastal/gulf AL...We are staying in Coastal AL for 4 nights....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... also, anything worth seeing btw Memphis and Chicago? thanks Awd-gg |

thanks, unfortunately already made the trip. went to pointe clear (dolphins tour at Mobile bay), Mobile (USS Alabama), decided to skip Coastal MS and drive to New Orleans Instead(mainly for the food and music)....
Had a blast!!!! stay overnight at memphis for the music and food too!!! Ate seafood everyday, every meal.... awesome.... Only 3 meals (out of 10 days) has meat, the rest were all seafood!!! |
