Has anyone heard any rumors yet about the winter coming up for 2008 - 2009?
I've heard here and there that the winter is going to be pretty bad but nothing definite just yet.
I'm actually kind of hoping for some good amounts of snow since we hardly had any last year.
Anyone see or hear anything?... please share.

An Indian worker asks a chief "What shall we do to prepare for winter?"
The chief wants to keep the worker busy so he says "Go gather some wood"
When the worker is gone, the chief calls the National Weather Service and says "What kind of winter will we have this year?"
The NWS man says "pretty cold"
The chief tells the workers "Go gather some more wood"
He calls the NWS again and says "Are you sure we're going to have a cold winter?"
The NWS man says "Not only cold, but cold and long"
The chief tells his workers "Go gather all the wood you can find!"
He calls up the NWS man again and asks "Are you really sure we're going to have a really cold and long winter?"
The NWS man says "Absolutely sure it's going to be cold and long and SEVERE"
The chief asks "How are you so sure?"
The man says "The Indians are gathering wood like crazy!"

| I gave up on snow in Virginia two years ago, in the past three years I doubt we have had a total of a foot, and I live at the base of the blue ridge mountains!~ I just hope the scooby does well on ice :13: |

| I've been telling people here in RI that we'll be getting a lot of snow since Sept. I noticed the acorns dropping out of the oak trees in large amounts since mid Aug. This gives the creatures that gather them extra time, which usullay means early and or lots of snow. |
