Their kicker is from my home town of Geelong.... He use to play Australian Rules football for the Geelong Cats.
He is one of the few AFL players to make the transition to your national code...

don't watch much anymore but the end was kind of exciting, at least it wasn't a blowout.

So being an alien to both the country and the game, I thought this thread was about steel wheels for a Subaru Outback. Silly me - now I am a little wiser.
I did watch the game up to half time, and I loved how that huge guy ran the full length of the field – I know I wouldnt have got in his way. I was a little taken back to then see him sucking down oxygen at the end of the dash. Do players normally use O2 during a game? |

Yes, you often see players sitting on the bench sucking down O2 after a big run.
Quite a bit different than what you see down there where they don't even wear helmets or padding huh?
Football here is not so much of a contact sport as it is a collision sport. |
