How many of you all have taken some form of night class at a local college for auto repair/shop tools?
I'm going to be taking a few classes this summer during the day, and was thinking about taking an auto repair class just for fun. Specifically as I wouldn't mind having a bit more foundation than my normal fumbling around, fixing stuff based on a Haynes manual, what I see when stuff comes apart, and assorted online sources.
For those interested, I spend my summers at MCC. Because I can't seem to get everything done during the year:brainfart |

i prefer fumbling around since that's how i learned how to do everything. what's the saying about necessity being the mother of invention or more accurately " i grew up broke and driving pos cars and i didn't have the money to have someone else fix them"
if you've got extra time ... why not. i'd go talk to the instructor to see what level of course to start with, an introductory course may be too basic depending on your current knowledge. if they have a mid level diagnostic or engine building class, that might be fun. |
