So, today while she's out, the wife calls and says "Why don't you go get the stuff to change the oil in the cars, I think mine's past due."

Ok, sounds like a good idea, I know I haven't changed mine in about 4500 miles. It's a beautiful day out, might as well do it today. Run out and get the stuff and do mine while she's still out. When she gets back, I hop in her car to pull it out back, and look at the "reminder sticker" on the windshield. Yeah, hers was due, too. About 10,000 miles ago.................

I didn't realize how many miles she put on her car, I'm pretty sure I did both cars at the same time last time, as well. Guess I'll have to start poking my head into hers a little more often to see when it's due.....

most people only know one thing about the car they drive.... gas goes here but even then they forget to check the fuel gauge..

Speaking of a lot of miles (not!), I don't think I've put gas in the wagon in more than a month!

Better check that next time I go somewhere.

Cannot count on the wife(s) for correct info on any car I have found.

Last time I remember the wife saying anything about her Forester was...

"I have a small dent that I found and it has a bit of paint on it"

$900 estimate to fix that small issue......................

Well I guess I'm just lucky, my fiance does all the maintenance to our vehicles.. She doesn't trust anyone else to do it right so she won't take them anywhere.. The problem with her is trying to keep her need for a project vehicle in check, although I'm not much better.. We've only had our outback for a week and we've already ordered skidplates for it and picked out the lights we want.. she's already planned when she's switching the car over to synthetic oil and what oil she's using in it. :p :D

You are a lucky man, your fiance does her own maintenance, and embraces the "project car" philosophy.

Does your fiance have a sister? :D

She does my maintenance too, makes life easy for me haha.. Her last big project was a 600+hp Camaro.. She built the motor for it herself, and completely rewired tha car among other things.. Lately we've both been into motorcycles more, she keeps wanting to build a cafe racer or a bobber, but at the moment we have no where to work on a big project like that so all our project ideas are on hold.. She signed up for the forums too, but she doesn't usually post unless she has something constructive to say.. I'm sure she's reading this though haha.

Haha sorry, she doesn't have any sisters.

I just had shoulder surgery. I made my husband change the oil in his truck this time, because I didn't feel like crawling under there and working with my arms above shoulder height.

Yes, I had to remind him that it was due. Twice.
