Sittin' pretty here in Papillion, NE.

A couple of local grill outs with friends and family.

Raining pretty hard right now, so the loud booms outside have diminished.

Well, I am gonna be COOKIN some good ole' BBQ. Most of the people out west have no idea what real southern BBQ is all about, so I am on a mission to show them. They think BBQ is grilling a burger, or putting BBQ sauce on your chicken while you are grilling it.

I've got about 20 people to feed tomorrow, so I picked up two pork picnic roasts (21 lbs worth) today. I'll start smoking them around midnight tonight so we can be feasting on some tasty pulled pork sandwiches tomorrow afternoon. Mixed up some nice tangy/vinegary mustard sauce, and got a bunch of corn ready for the grill. We'll also be throwing some potatoes in the fire, and who knows what else. Anyway, should be a good time.

Tubbing down a river , followed by excessive drinking, and a BBQ.
Happy Independence Day!

I'm glad you guys got some celebrating in. I spent most of the day helping my sister move. Then I cut the grass, because I knew I wouldn't feel like doing it today. I went to bed early - no festivities, no fireworks. Today, I can barely move - I'm getting too old for this stuff.
