Modifications to the trailer Locking tongue box And currently building a 50 caliber ammo box solar Generator which will be mounted to the front plate of the trailer next to the tongue box. The ammo box is 11inches long by just over 5 inches wide and about 7 inches tall. I will house a 18ah SLA glass mat battery, solar charge controller for a street lamp $27, Small covered fuse panel with LED indicators if a fuse is blown. Solar panel is a small 10watt high efficiency hard panel (we'll see if it handles our very low power needs) The plan for the power will be to power a LED ATV flood light mounted to the back bottom cross rail on the trailer wired with a remote key fob on off / dimmer which I can trigger from the car if needed when backing up in dark camp grounds at night. We plan on rigging up some LED lighting in the tent its self with a simple in line micro switch. Last of all we will have a simple 12volt charging station that has both USB and standard 12volt sockets for charging things like Gopro, cellphone, GPS I pad etc. Currently I have about $190 invested in the parts total cost will probably be around $230 by the time we get the lights we want and a few of the nicer connectors and plugs etc. We typically see between 21-26mpg pending speeds and climbs etc. When set up the tent has a 4x6 carpeted floor 7ft center height. The beds are queen size with privacy curtains. subiesailor Wed, 22 Apr 2015 13:14:01 -0400 tmp_6194-IMG_20140804_124154452403398

by: subiesailor subiesailor Mon, 04 Aug 2014 16:07:29 -0400 tmp_6194-20140804_1140421936162398

by: subiesailor subiesailor Mon, 04 Aug 2014 15:13:50 -0400 obbikes

by: subiesailor subiesailor Mon, 11 Feb 2013 14:10:52 -0500 tent

by: subiesailor

1 comment subiesailor Tue, 06 Mar 2012 19:35:07 -0500
